IRCA announces new internal QMS auditor and ISO 9000:2000 Series foundation course
IRCA has introduced two new training courses to help organizations realize the advantages of the improved ISO 9001 model.
IRCA director, Simon Feary emphasizes that “the real benefits of business improvement can only be achieved if organizations have a robust approach to process assessment that adds value. Organizations must treat internal audits as a vital business management activity and ensure that those people who perform audits are competent. The two new IRCA training courses will provide the necessary skills and understanding at both auditor and management level.”
The IRCA internal QMS auditor training course will help provide staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to audit their organization's business processes. Employees who successfully complete the course will have the demonstrated the following competencies:
- an understanding of their role in the maintenance and improvement of management systems through business process improvement
- an understanding of the process-based Quality Management System, and how an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system can benefit an organization and its customers
- an ability to prepare for and perform the audit of business processes
- an ability to write factual, value-adding, audit reports that help management to improve the effectiveness of the business.
This course can be completed in a minimum of 14 hours and emphasizes practical audit skills. Students receive feedback on their achievement of the relevant knowledge and skills through the robust student assessment processes.
The new IRCA ISO 9000:2000 Series foundation training course provides management with a detailed understanding of the ISO 9000:2000 series of standards, especially the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and is suitable for those involved in the design, implementation and maintenance of quality management systems from top management down. The course can be taken as a classroom-based course (7 hours) or through distance learning (20 hours).
